In the KAV election you have 37 votes to distribute freely. You can vote for candidates from different lists — this is called panaschieren (split-ticket voting). If you want to give extra support to a candidate you like, you can give them up to 3 votes — this is called kumulieren (cumulation). Seats are allocated proportionally based on the total votes each list receives.
